Nicole Ari Parker AND Nazneen Contractor Feet And Legs
Nicole Ari Parker (born Nicole Ari Parker) is an American actress who works in both film, television and the theatre. She's best known as Teri Joe the fiery lawyer from The Showtime show Soul Food. In the years following her marriage to her husband, she was referred to by the name Nikki Kodjoe. The talent she displayed in her acting was apparent since childhood. In a Maryland high school contest gave her with the award for best actress. In the years following her work in theater, and 'The Washington Ballet Company she graduated with a certificate in acting from New York University. The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love brought her an award for best-in-class roles. Movies such as Blue Streak and Boogie Nights Spark followed. The TV show Soul Food' was immensely appreciated. She appeared in TV programs such as Second Time Around, and Empire. Prior to that, Parker appeared in many performances on stage. Parker with a strong political interest and is married to model/actress Boris Kodjoe. The couple has two daughters.
Born from Mumbai, India and raised in Nigeria until the age of seven, Contractor was well-informed about traveling around the globe and in a wide range of different cultures from a young age. After attending boarding school during seven years of London the family moved to Toronto Canada where she spent most of her youth and early adulthood. When she was in Toronto, Contractor excelled in academics, and was trained to become a classical ballerina. She was a student at the Etobicoke School of the Arts which is a highly specialized public arts high school where she did not only dance but also studied theater. Contractor began acting at age 16 and was a part of the theater for a decade after spending ten years in dance. She accepted a full-scholarship to study at the University of Toronto after graduating. She earned a master's degree in theatre and double majored in sociology and psychology. Contractor, who had been a student for a year, went on to audition at an open call for Pericles which was held at the highly acclaimed Stratford Shakespeare Festival, [Ontario Canadawhich she won the part. The play was well-received in the 92 plays she appeared in. The play won her the 2002 award for the best production of the Year from Canadian critics. The actress accepted an invitation to enroll in Stratford's conservatory. This is a course that allows only four males and eight females can attend an intensive 20-week training in classical theater. Contractor's place in the following stage season was securing and she was offered the part as Hermia.
